Our Wednesday and Saturday Community Volunteer work days to maintain the grounds in and around Concordia will also be posted on our Facebook page. Anticipated starting date is Wednesday, May 29, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and will run through September. Come help us care for this sacred 15-acre site that holds our WNY Heritage and get your exercise in for the day! Snacks and beverages always available

May 18 Saturday: Join us at the Buffalo Central Library for their 2nd annual Family History Day, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
May 25 Saturday – 11am: Memorial Day Commemoration to honor our Veterans with the Johnetta R. Cole AmVets post #24. Coffee Hour and Reception following the service.
June 18th Tuesday – 9:30 – 4pm: Come join us as the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County has its Day of Caring! Be a part of our team as we tackle some projects to preserve this historic site. Lunch & beverages will be served.
July 20 Saturday – 10am – 2 pm: Family History Day at Concordia. Come and meet our Volunteer Genealogists and bring your family search questions. Several genealogy groups from the community will also have tables with information available and volunteers will help you locate your ancestors’ grave at Concordia
July 20 and July 21 10am – 4 pm. We will be part of the Buffalo East Side Garden Walk! Come visit and enjoy some quiet time strolling the beauty of our gardens and plantings.
Labor Day Weekend: The Federation of German-American Societies of WNY will hold a Germanfest at Cheektowaga Town Park on Friday, Aug. 30th 6pm-10pm and Saturday, Aug. 31st 12pm-9pm. Concordia will have a German cultural table at the event and volunteers will assist at this cultural event for the WNY community. Come and join us!
September 28 Saturday – Annual Lot Owners Meeting and Concordia Foundation, Inc. Annual Meeting. Attend and vote to help decide on issues that affect the cemetery and its future. Details on our Friends of Concordia Facebook page.
September 28 Saturday – Vanished Cemeteries of WNY event. What happened to them and where did the interred go?
October 19 Saturday – Volunteer Appreciation Day – This is one of our last community Work Days, so join us for a little work and a great lunch with volunteer teammates.
November 11at 11am: Veteran’s Day Commemoration at Concordia & Veteran’s Reception following in the Landmark Farmhouse. We have about 500 veterans interred on our historic grounds. Help us remember and honor them!
